Dates |
Offered throughout the year and onsite |
|
Length: |
Four or five day course |
|
Cost: |
$850 per student per day or Onsite |
|
Description: |
This comprehensive advanced course is designed to teach students the practical skills required to prognose geopressures using seismic interval velocities, electric logging data, and operational information. The class includes an introduction to geopressure analysis (optional refresher class on day 1) and focuses on learning best practices for geopressure analysis. Students will learn how to perform a 1D geopressure analysis using petrophysical techniques and how to use advanced tools to augment and improve a 1D petrophysical geopressure analysis. The class then teaches 3D geopressure analysis using hydrodynamic modeling at the basin scale and exposes students to the benefits of this method over more traditional approaches. |
