Knowledge Systems Advances Pore Pressure and Wellbore Analysis Capabilities with New Drillworks and Pressworks Application Upgrades.
Enhanced versions of two software systems used extensively in oil and gas exploration and drilling operations have been released by Knowledge Systems. These applications are used by operators throughout the world for pore pressure and geomechanical analysis essential to the planning, drilling and completion of wells with greater safety and efficiency.
Drillworks® Version 11.5, an integrated software suite for pre-drill, real-time and post-drill analysis of pore pressures and wellbore stability, and Pressworks™ 2.5, a specialized relational database for storing and managing geopressure data, have both had significant upgrades.
“The release of Drillworks 11.5 and Pressworks 2.5 is the result of our continuing investment in understanding and predicting pore pressures and wellbore stability,” said James W. Bridges Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “Software development concurrent with our hands-on field services makes these new releases uniquely capable and highly practical. Our most recent upgrades improve modeling, analysis and project management with advances developed through long-standing collaboration with our clients.”
Petrophysicists, engineers and geoscience professionals will benefit from new capabilities and features in the Drillworks applications. The latest upgrades include improvements to:
